With twenty years of experience as a working actor and ten years teaching theatre, I wanted to cultivate a safe space where actors of all ages and stages could grow and take artistic risks. In The Studio, you will be encouraged and challenged to dig deep, search the text, and make bold choices to create a truthful character.

This week of training is designed for dedicated young performers seeking to develop further and refine their acting skills. Students will engage in monologue study, scene work, collaborative exercises, improvisation, and theatrical activities. The program concludes with a showcase performance at Lambert Hall, providing students with the opportunity to present their progress to an audience.
A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required at registration, with the remaining balance of $300 due at the start of the intensive.

Audition season is upon the Houston theatre scene!
This class is ideal for those looking to make a strong impression at various theatre companies and at the citywide Alliance auditions. Actors in this four-week class will prepare two contrasting monologues, refine their slate, sharpen their skills, and more.
Also, if you sign up for the class, you can book a mini session with Tasha Gorel for an updated headshot! On May 9th, Tasha is offering a 15-minute session, with one touched-up image for $75! After you sign up for the audition class, you will get info on how to book with Tasha!

This 5-week class is for the adult actor who hungers to create and grow in a safe space.
Actors of all levels will sharpen their craft by diving deep into script analysis, scene work, and character development to create an honest, multidimensional character based on the text while exploring bold physical and vocal choices. If you want to be challenged and grow out of your comfort zone as an actor, then this class is for you.

This ongoing 8-week adult acting class is designed for students who have previously taken an Adult Acting Class at The Studio and are looking to continue their training in a supportive, challenging, and collaborative environment.
Students will take a deep dive into Uta Hagen's acting exercises to strengthen their technique and ground their work in truth. Through a combination of scene work, monologue work, students will deepen their craft, strengthen their technique, and explore more nuanced performance work. The curriculum will evolve based on the group’s needs, allowing for continued growth and individual focus.
Please note: to fully benefit from the class and Uta Hagen's acting exercises, you’ll need to commit time outside of class for rehearsal and preparation.
